Fingers Crossed Driveway Starts!

Spoke to my SS today to get an idea of how were travelling. We have had a few trades drop the ball on some finishes, so hopefully that get's corrected this week.

Our flooring is waiting on delivery from the supplier to start, and the Drive way should get a  start tomorrow with the formwork.

MJH fast turnaround!

Got the go ahead to change the colour of the flooring, and also had the colour meeting same day today as well.

Special thanks to the MJH team for the fast turn around on this. My wife had to make a decision over the phone with pictures, but the ladies in the studio had already made a good choice, and we went with it.

Slight Delay in Finishing

Hi Everyone,

We have hit a little snag with our flooring, the Floor planks we are using seem to be a bad batch. Most of the Planks are damaged from either transport, or the batch wasn't produced properly, with scuff marks and scratches on them.

The Flooring guys had to then rip up all the flooring they had done, and take away all the planks due to each box having 75% or more damaged.

We then had a 2nd batch of the same product arrive, and the same issue. Damaged or bad batch!

On top of this we have now found out that the actual colour we are using is discontinued as well.

We are waiting for the go ahead to now change colours, as the flooring guys and my Supervisor agree this is an issue that doesn't seem to be correcting itself.

My wife is disappointed due to the colour change, as you can imagine the whole colour scheme is based off the flooring. Let's see what the powers at be can offer to us.

Will update once I know more, as for the build we will be running 1 -2 weeks behind now.

Finally a Garage Door!

Dropped past today and the Garage door had been fitted. The Fly-screens and Sliding mesh doors were done as well. The guys Laying the floor planks were onsite as well.

Fences are Down

Not long to go now, flooring booked to start this Friday, Garage Door was meant to go on today, but I think the rain scared them off. Driveway has been started and hopefully finished by next Friday. Downpipes to be painted.

All the lights internally are now done, after the flooring is in, they can finish the architraves through out the house. Door handles,Kitchen appliances, Security doors, Flyscreens and Hot Water still need to be done.

Then the final touches with all trades coming back in to tidy everything up.

Weekly Update for the house

Getting close to finish now, we have another 4 weeks I'de say before were fully complete.
The Aircon, Downpipes, Taps, switches and powerpoints are in.

Down pipes still need to be painted same colour as our Roof which is Monument.

As well as this, the Showerscreens and Mirrors as well. All getting there.!

Bag n Paint on front of house

Dropped in today and the bag n Paint for the front of the house has been started, not sure if this is the finished look, it's alot brighter than I thought it would be.

Will see if this changes over the week, maybe they do 2 coats, however it's meant to be close to our eaves which is Surfmist.

Caoba Stain and Media RoomPainting

A little update today, I drove down to the site today and met up with my Building Supervisor who was in the area.

I got to ask some outstanding questions and also get a look at the inside again. The Caoba stain was applied to the doors, and the first coat of paint was on the walls.

I took a few shot's of the media room.

Our Build timeline is looking to complete early July, as long as there is no holdup's, in all we should finish a week early for our total build time.
