With the Good, comes the Not so Good!

Today my news is not fantastic, but it's not the end of the world.
The tiler has made a stupid mistake by cutting the tiles on the alfresco slab.

Generally the trades are aware of things like this, but for some reason this tiler had a brain meltdown.

My SS apologised for the issue, and they will try and fix as best they can, Luckily for all involved I will be tiling my Alfresco after handover, Just not 100% sure how soon after.

But lesson here, Don't cut tiles on someone's slab.

Here are a few more shot's from yesterday, different angles around the house. I noticed I haven't really done many of the Bedrooms yet, will have to get some.

Painters putting the undercoat on!

Drove out for Lunch today down in Picton for Anzac day, thought we would drive past the house and look in the estate on everyone's progress.

To my surprise the painters were onsite, what a lovely couple and very friendly. They waved us in for a quick look around.

Painters Onsite today!

My Building Supervisor has advised the Painters are onsite doing the primer coat for the ceilings.
The Brickies however have been called back to another Job to finish it off, and wont be back for another 9 days minimum. (Damn Bricks)

Hopefully might be able to get some shots if the painters are onsite and let me take a few in the coming days.

A few more Tile Shot's I forgot to put up!

Here are some more tile shot's, Bathtub and Wall tiles started now. The Groute for the floor tiles went in as well. All the cornice work has been completed now too.

The tiler on site is a great bloke, he could not believe the rain that came down while he was working away, was like a river falling from the sky!

So Much Rain!!!!!!

The Poor bricky has been trying to start our job since Saturday and has been delayed due to all this Rain.

There were however guys onsite today finishing the Cornices in the rooms, and the tiling has started in the Bathrooms and Laundry. I went down today to check how the house had faired with all this weather, considering its the wettest in 18 years I thought it might be worth it considering the house is wrapped and no bricks.

Catch up with Ryan the SS

We had our catch up with the Building Supervisor today (Ryan) to view the tiles to make sure they were the right ones. Good news is they are.

He also advised they were going to start bricks today, however the rain kind of killed that idea. So fingers crossed we get a start with bricks next week. The sand was Delivered.

All the Wet Area Tiling will start next week, and the cornice work will finish next week as well.
After the tiling is done, we should have the benchtops get installed in 2 weeks and also have the painting start. However the Brickwork does now need to be done for the painters to be able to start their part, as the eaves need to be installed and the Alfresco area needs to be finished.

Front Door Open, so went to Lock up and check on house.

Went past the house today and noticed the front door open. Must not of been locked by the last tradie onsite, anyhow gave me reason to go close and lock door and have a little sticky beak.

To my surprise a fair few things had been done with the kitchen, en-suite, bathroom and the steps for the split level plus Activities desk.

Now I really want my Bricks to start!
